Why did I create Wall St. School?

Why didn’t you learn about finance or the stock market in high school? That’s a great question, one I’m not sure we will ever have an answer to. The good news is that it's never to late to learn. I know how it feels to be on the outside, looking in at the giant unknown of the stock market, questioning how anyone learns about this. For years I thought you needed to go to university and get a PhD in finance or economics to truly understand how the system works. The good news is that is not the case, the stock market is one of few places that anyone, from any background, can take some time to learn about, and start on a path to financial freedom.

My motivation behind creating Wall St. School was to offer a resource about where to start your journey. I will be sharing some of my own ideas as I continue to explore the market. This website is not giving financial advance - it's focused on giving you tools to further your own education. I’ve done the hard work. I’ve read hundreds of books on finance and investing, and I’m here to give you insights on which books to read and which ones you can skip. You can follow my recommendations on which path to take, but there isn’t an order to the books I think are worth reading. At the end of the day, you will find an investment style that works for you. Maybe you will only trade based on technical analysis and never look at a financial statement. Maybe you will be on the other side and never look at a chart, trading based on the fundamentals. Maybe holding a stock for an hour or two is perfect for you, or maybe you hold for years. It's up to you to decide. I’m here to offer tools to help you learn and find what fits for you.
